Ticket Policy

  • Please read the following terms and conditions prior to making a purchase for one of the venues we represent.  By purchasing a ticket, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.  All sales are final.  We reserve the right to make changes to these terms and conditions without any prior notice, and any updated information will take effect from the date the changes are added to the website.
  • Each ticket that you purchase from us is a revocable license to attend a particular performance.  Admission is subject to all Blumenthal Arts terms, conditions and policies.  Failure to comply with these policies could result in loss of ticket privileges, including removal from the premises.  We reserve the right to terminate this license by refunding the purchase price to the ticketholder.
  • We do not censor or control the content created by guest artists.  Patrons that may be sensitive to adult language or sociopolitical commentary are advised to be aware of the content of the performance prior to purchase.  Compensation will not be provided if a show is perceived to not be appropriate after a ticket purchase has been made.
  • As a processing agent, funds for ticket purchases to events presented by the Charlotte Ballet, Charlotte Symphony Orchestra, or Opera Carolina are transferred by Blumenthal Arts directly to the respective organization presenting the event who assumes all liabilities related to the transaction, including liabilities for refunds in accordance with their refund policy.  Blumenthal Arts shall have no liability whatsoever to a ticket buyer in connection with or arising from any failure by the organization to pay a refund.
  • Blumenthal Arts accepts VISA, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express credit or debit cards, as well as gift cards, for your purchases.  For certain events we also accept payment via PayPal for your online convenience.  At the discretion of the venue or event promoter, however, these options may not be available for all events.
  • To mitigate cybersecurity risks, all online purchases are limited to domestic transactions.  If your IP address is registered outside North America, either from your geographic location or through the use of a VPN, please call our box office at (704) 372-1000.   One of our representatives will be happy to assist you over the phone.
  • You agree not to re-sell any ticket you purchase from us for more than $10 over the price printed on the ticket.  We have the right to revoke the license for a ticket and void the sale if we find that the ticket was re-sold in violation of this policy.  Additionally, refunds cannot be given for tickets purchased through a third party.
  • All tickets are subject to a facility fee and ticket charge, which help us maintain the ability to keep bringing you the quality shows you expect at our venues.  The ticket charge is waived at the box office when tickets are purchased in person.
  • In some instances, dynamic pricing and promotional offers may cause an initially advertised price to be higher or lower than current pricing.  There are no refunds or reimbursements for these price variances.
  • If the amount you pay for a ticket is incorrect, whether this is due to an error in pricing communicated to you via website or phone, Blumenthal Arts reserves the right to void that ticket and refund to you the amount paid for that ticket.
  • If you have been able to purchase a ticket before it’s contractually-defined on sale date, Blumenthal Arts reserves the right to void that ticket and refund to you the amount paid for that ticket.
  • Every person, regardless of age, must have a ticket to attend an event.  If a performance deviates from this policy, it will be noted in the event description.
  • Ticket delivery may be delayed after purchase, but they will be delivered no later than 48 hours before the performance start date and time. Blumenthal Arts reserves the right to change the method of delivery when necessary.
  • Will Call tickets will be available at the Box Office two hours before the start of your show.  Please be able to present a photo ID to retrieve these tickets.
  • Can’t find your tickets?  We will be happy to reprint them for you during Box Office hours.
  • If seating permits, your tickets may be exchanged for a different showing of a performance up until 72 hours before your performance date.  There is a $3.50 ticket exchange fee per ticket for non-subscribers for all Blumenthal Arts-presented shows.  Rental and Resident Company policies may differ.
  • Cast updates and the use of understudies may occur, and no refunds or compensation will be provided.
  • The production company may require patrons that arrive after a performance begins to wait outside the theatre until a designated break in the performance.  These patrons may be able to watch the performance via closed circuit television in the lobby until access is granted.  Some productions may be excluded.
  • Blumenthal Arts reserves the right to provide alternate seating to a performance if warranted by staging technical issues or if the seat’s safety has been compromised.
  • In the unlikely event that a performance is cancelled, the Blumenthal will provide a gift certificate or refund, depending upon the nature of the cancellation.  If a patron is no longer in possession of the card they used for the initial purchase, or paid cash, a check refund will be processed and mailed to the patron.
  • Gift certificates or partially used gift certificates are not refundable, and they may not be redeemed for cash.
  • There is no compensation for a missed show.  Tickets cannot be exchanged after the performance date and time printed on the ticket.
  • Complimentary tickets may not be exchanged.
  • Tickets may not be used for advertising or promotion without the express prior written consent of Blumenthal Arts.
  • Blumenthal Arts reserves the right to temporarily lock out or deactivate accounts suspected to not be adhering to ticketing policies.
