Charlotte International Arts Festival
The Charlotte International Arts Festival will run September 15 - October 1, 2023 at locations spanning from Uptown Charlotte to Ballantyne's Backyard.
The Charlotte International Arts Festival is an annual celebration of imaginative visual and performing arts from the most creative international and local minds. Fun for everyone, from families to individuals, we invite you to stay awhile, play, and welcome curiosity as we begin to see our city through new eyes. With over 200 attractions, many for free, this festival has something for everyone.

Cultural Stages Application
Through our Cultural Stages grants, we invite YOU to be a local ambassador of your culture!
Open to all performing artists (bands, dancers, magicians, storytellers, etc.) to apply! Selected projects will be presented outdoors in Uptown Charlotte or Ballantyne between September 15 – October 1, 2023.

Hometown Sounds Application
Through our Hometown Sounds application, we invite YOU to be a contributor! By submitting this application, you agree to the following:
- Each selected artist/group will receive $250 and a 60-minute timeslot to perform outdoors in either Uptown Charlotte or Ballantyne.
- Blumenthal Performing Arts will NOT provide any backline or tech equipment for performers. Performers must provide, set up, and take down their own equipment.
