Position Summary
Working closely with the Chief Community Impact and Partnership Officer, this Giving Manager will strategize and implement fundraising opportunities, leveraging strong community relationships to support Blumenthal’s mission. The Giving Manager will oversee individual and corporate sponsorship programs, identify grant opportunities, and drive innovation in donor experiences.
The ideal candidate is a bold and strategic thinker, taking a lead role in fundraising efforts that support our dynamic free and low-cost programs for students, teachers, artists, lifelong learners and more. This is an opportunity for an experienced and organized development professional to bring deep expertise in fundraising, stewardship, and donor relations while embracing new, creative approaches to donor engagement.
This is a pivotal role on a growing team that dares to take calculated risks to enhance donor engagement and uplift the organization. Some evenings and weekends are required for events and special initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities

With Chief Community Impact and Partnership Officer, develop and execute an ambitious, strategic annual giving and membership plan, encompassing donor identification, cultivation, stewardship, acquisition, and retention strategies.

Build and steward strong, ongoing relationships with current and prospective donors through personal engagement and moves management.

Provide exceptional high-level customer service to donors, ensuring benefit fulfillment and premium ticketing experiences, and exclusive opportunities.

Work closely with the Blumenthal marketing team to implement membership communication strategies and ensure accurate donor recognition in publications.

Reimagine existing programs to maximize effectiveness and donor engagement.

Oversee the planning and execution of high-level donor events, including the annual Chairman’s Celebration, donor meet-and-greet functions, cultivation events, and exclusive donor theater trips/tours.

Manage Founders Room operations and experiences for Producer’s Circle members.

Maintain accurate donor data, record donor interactions, and track progress through AudienceView database.

Monitor individual revenue progress, analyzing database reports and tracking renewal progress to maximize retention rates.

Manage and monitor the annual giving and membership program budget, including in-kind contributions and ad sales budgets.

Partner with the Ticketing team to facilitate Producer’s Circle subscription renewals and seat requests.

Stay informed on trends in performing arts and donor engagement to continually refine and enhance fundraising strategies.

Contribute to a collaborative team environment, sharing in decision-making processes and executing strategic initiatives with enthusiasm and professionalism.
Qualifications
Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in arts administration, non-profit management, marketing/communications, or related field, supplemented by 7 years of experience in development, fundraising, or donor relations.

Or, equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and donor database management.

Must be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality with donor information.

Genuine passion for the performing arts and the ability to convey that enthusiasm to donors.

Evening and weekend work required to accommodate donor events and performances.
