Blumenthal Arts is thrilled to announce the opening of Space Explorers: THE INFINITE - a groundbreaking immersive virtual reality experience that allows guests to explore the International Space Station and beyond. As we prepare to launch this incredible new attraction in September, we are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our Front of House team.
About the Role:
As a Front of House Usher, you will be at the forefront of this exciting new experience, ensuring that every guest has a memorable visit. You'll play a crucial role in customer service, guest safety, and the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, interact with a diverse range of guests, and be a part of something truly unique.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service by warmly welcoming guests, answering questions, and assisting with any inquiries or concerns.
- Ensure the safety of all guests by following established protocols and assisting with the proper use of VR equipment.
- Guide guests in using VR equipment, including helping them put on headsets, explaining controls, and adjusting settings as needed.
- Independently troubleshoot technical and software issues with all equipment to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted experience for guests.
- Explain how to use VR equipment to guests who may be unfamiliar with it, offering clear and patient instructions to ensure everyone has an enjoyable experience.
- Serve as a representative of Blumenthal Arts, embodying our values of excellence, innovation, and community engagement.
Qualifications
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience with virtual reality technology preferred
- A background in gaming or technology is preferred, with an ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and equipment.
- Previous experience in a customer service role
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently
- Ability to work well in a team environment, with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
- The ideal candidates will have flexible availability
