Our 2022-23 PNC Broadway Lights Season Spotlight continues with Tina: The Tina Turner Musical! An uplifting comeback story like no other, TINA is the inspiring journey of a woman who broke barriers and became the Queen of Rock n’ Roll, playing our Belk Theater December 27th, 2022 – January 1st , 2023!
This production got its start in London’s West End and transferred to Broadway, where it currently stars Charlotte’s own Nkeki Obi-Melekwe! #FunFact Nkeki was HAND PICKED to star in this show by Tina Tuner herself?! Check her out in the show’s latest promo below!

While it’s unlikely Obi-Melekwe will be part of the North American Tour that starts this fall, you can look forward to the same incredible music and uplifting story tracing the Queen of Rock n’ Roll’s journey.
It’s dramatic and heart-wrenching but ultimately reveals a woman’s triumph in standing up for herself and leaving a marriage marred by domestic abuse to strike out on her own.
