BE OUR VALENTINE CONTEST WINNERS ARE CHOSEN

Charlotte, NC – Blumenthal Performing Arts received more than 3,000 entries for the “Be Our Valentine” contest, which offered Broadway enthusiasts the chance to win FREE tickets daily, February 1-14, and an ultimate grand prize: A trip to Broadway to see MEMPHIS, the winner of four 2010 Tony Awards® including Best Musical.
Participants were asked to vote on Valentine’s Day-themed questions.  Everyone who voted was automatically entered to win the Grand Prize or FREE tickets to shows such as Clay Aiken, Garth Fagan Dance, YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN and many more.
“Be Our Valentine” Questions and Top Answers:
Feb. 1-4 – Vote for the Best Long Song from a Broadway Musical!  Which song makes you swoon or feel all warm and fuzzy?
Winner:  “All I Ask of You” from THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA.
Feb. 4-7 – Vote for the Biggest Heartbreaker in a Broadway show!  From the bad boys to vixens, who is your favorite bad boy (or girl)?
Winner:  The Phantom from THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA.
Feb. 7-11 – Vote for the Most Heart-Breaking Moment in a Broadway Show, the one that always makes you reach for a Kleenex.
Winner:  When the LION KING dies.
Feb. 11-14 – Vote for the Broadway Couple Most Likely to Live Happily Ever After!  Even after the show is over, you imagine that they sit, holding hands, in matching rocking chairs next to a fireplace.
Winner:  Belle & The Beast from Disney’s BEAUTY AND THE BEAST.  They beat out Shrek and Fiona by several beastly hairs.
