Kristen Miranda joins Blumenthal Arts as Director of Community Impact and Partnership
(October 29, 2024) Charlotte, NC – Award-winning journalist Kristen Miranda will join Blumenthal Arts as its Director of Community Impact and Partnership. Miranda will lead the effort to publicly share the positive impact of Blumenthal Arts in the community and the essential role charitable support plays in fueling these high impact programs.

Miranda has spent nearly two decades sharing the successes and challenges of the people and places that make up the Carolinas. As a news reporter, anchor, and lifestyle host at WBTV, the CBS television affiliate in Charlotte, she highlighted the work of not-for-profit organizations like Blumenthal Arts. She interviewed everyone from celebrities to regular folks to educate and empower the people who live here.
In her new role as Director of Community Impact and Partnership, Miranda will play a lead role in amplifying the important work Blumenthal Arts does locally, nationally, and globally. She will employ her skills as a gifted storyteller and relationship builder to manage Blumenthal Arts’ giving programs, including the individual and corporate giving, sponsorships, and grants. This support is crucial to Blumenthal’s ability to enrich the lives of each member of the community through arts programming, community-building, education, and innovation.
A graduate of the State University of New York, College at Fredonia, Miranda spent the first chapter of her career in newsrooms across New York State. Prior to her time in Charlotte, she worked in a newsroom in her hometown of Buffalo and was a reporter and anchor in Binghamton and Rochester.
Miranda is passionate about the way the arts can change lives and open minds.
