PRESBYTERIAN HOSPITAL RENEWS SPONSORSHIP
FOR THIRD CONSECUTIVE YEAR
Charlotte, NC – Presbyterian Hospital continues its support of the arts by renewing its sponsorship of the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center. Presbyterian is the “Preferred Healthcare Provider” of the Center and will co-sponsor the “Family Night at the Knight” membership event at the brand new Knight Theater Jan. 28.
“We are thankful for the continued support of a generous community leader such as Presbyterian Hospital,” said Center President Tom Gabbard. The sponsorship provides essential financial support for the Center’s arts and education programs that impact thousands of students and families each year. It also provides touring artists and show personnel ready access to medical services should that need arise.
“Presbyterian Hospital is thrilled to renew our partnership with the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center,” said Mark Billings, President, Presbyterian Healthcare. “The arts are vital to any healthy community and we’re honored to help an organization that plays such an important role in our region.”
Presbyterian Hospital will help sponsor the members-only “Family Night at the Knight” event Thurs., Jan. 28 at the Knight Theater. Kids and parents will enjoy a workshop before an evening performance of THE ALUMINUM SHOW. Charlotte entertainer Hardin Minor and Omimeo Mime Theatre will join Dr. Getwell, Presbyterian Hospital’s mascot, to lead this fun, family-friendly event. The workshop combines movement, dance and visual theater to prepare families to see THE ALUMINUM SHOW. The children can bring one or two small aluminum objects from home – foil paper, tin cans, dryer vent hose – to learn how these items can be used to create theatrical props.
