Charlotte, NC – The contemporary dance company, THE PARSONS DANCE COMPANY comes to the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center’s Knight Theater Mar. 25 - 28, 2010. The company was founded by choreographer David Parsons.

Tickets go on sale Friday, Oct. 23 and can be purchased online at BlumenthalCenter.org, by phone at 704-372-1000, or from the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center Box Office located in the Tryon Street lobby of the Belk Theater.

The company consists of ten full-time dancers and maintains a repertory of more than 70 works, 20 of which feature commissioned original scores by composers and musicians including Dave Matthews, Michael Gordon and Milton Nascimento.

THE PARSONS DANCE COMPANY has been broadcast on television through PBS, Bravo, A&E and Discovery channels. They also performed in Times Square as part of the televised Millennium New Year’s Eve Celebration.
