Front of House Event Staff
Position Summary
As a Front of House Event Staff memebr, you will play a pivotal role in creating memorable experiences for our guests by ensuring their comfort, safety, and enjoyment during their visit to the theater. You will be the first point of contact for our guests and will contribute to the overall success of our productions through your exceptional customer service.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor as they arrive at the theater.
- Provide information about showtimes, seating, facilities, and amenities.
- Assist patrons with special needs, including wheelchair users and those with mobility needs.
- Ensure efficient and organized seating while maintaining safety standards.
- Manage late arrivals and minimize disruptions to the performance.
- Enforce theater policies, such as no photography or recording.
- Address disruptive behavior or disturbances promptly and professionally.
- Assist in emergency evacuations by serving as a searcher, disabled person’s aid, traffic director, or leader.
- Maintain a clean work area before, during and after events. Report maintenance or housekeeping needs to Floor Supervisor or House Manager.
Education and Experience
- Previous experience in live events is a plus, ushering experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Friendly and professional demeanor.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
- Knowledge of basic theater etiquette and procedures is a plus.
- Bilingual in English and any other language is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- See and read tickets in low level lighting
- Stand for long periods of time (1-4 hours)
- Walk up and down stairs
- Walk up and down incline
- Work in high levels including the balcony
- Respond quickly in emergency situations
Donor Outreach Coordinator
Position Summary
Under the Development department, the Volunteer Donor Outreach Coordinator will play a pivotal role in strengthening donor relationships and ensuring long-term sustainability of Blumenthal Arts. This position primarily focuses on donor stewardship, including thank you calls and letters, and providing essential event support with the aim of enhancing donor engagement and retention.
Duties & Responsibilities

Place personalized thank you calls to donors to express gratitude for their contributions, share updates, and request support.

Draft and send timely and heartfelt thank you letters and emails to donors, ensuring accuracy and personalization.

Stay updated on organizational activities and projects to provide donors relevant updates and impact reports.

Articulate the organization’s mission and funding needs persuasively and accurately.

Record outcomes, donor interactions and preferences accurately in the database.

Provide support at Development related events such as the Founder’s Room and other donor engagement events.

Engage with donors during events.
Education and Experience

Previous experience in development, advancement, fundraising, philanthropy or related field.

Previous experience in database management preferred.
